Eunice Guok has ten years of experience in the music industry and specialises in musicianship for both adults and children. She has a classical piano and vocal background and received her Bachelor in Teaching (Honours) majoring in Music Education from The Institute of Teacher Education. As a highly trained educator, classroom management is second nature to Eunice.
Eunice trained as a Kodály practitioner under the guidance of renowned Kodály educators from Australia, Dr James Cuskelly and Judith Johnson. She has completed all primary levels of the Australian Kodály Certificate in Music Education and recently completed her secondary level training with flying colours in Brisbane.
The principles of Zoltan Kodály resonates well with Eunice. She firmly believes in “Experience Before Intellectualisation” and focused on audiation through singing, games, movements, utilising folk and quality materials. Seeing the growth of her students in the midst of having fun is one of the motivating factors for Eunice. She is now actively involved in building a musical community here in Auckland.
