Masterclass - Duo Repertoire & Ensemble Skills
On the 7th of August, our CLEF scholarship students were fortunate to have been joined by visiting cellist Matthew Barley (UK) and Stephen De Pledge - generously joining us in advance of their tour this month with Chamber Music New Zealand - for a masterclass on duo repertoire and ensemble skills. Our 10 scholarship students have paired up this year to perform works for violin, cello and piano duos, with an ensemble concert sharing their performances on October 7th. Thank you to Matthew Barley and Stephen De Pledge for their insight and guidance as our students work towards this event!
Matthew and Stephen will perform the first concert of their 'Beethoven & Brahms' at the Auckland Town Hall on the 8th August 2022.
