CMA Mid-Year Showcase

Our Mid-Year Showcase was a very special celebration of all we have to offer – not only did we have solo performances from talented students across all our departments, but our ensembles also played a very special part on the day. We heard great performances from our Flute Choir, our Junior and Senior String Orchestras led by Kali Halapua, and our award-winning Chiron Flute Trio, which will go on to compete in the National Finals of the NZ Chamber Music Contest.

We were also graced by a fantastic rendition of Liszt’s Légende No. 2 by our good friend Catherine Chang, who lifted the whole house with the sound of rolling waves. Catherine has been with us for a long time, first as a student and then as a valued teacher and collaborative pianist, and we wish her great success in her upcoming studies at the Guildhall in London!
