Emily Wong started to learn piano at the age of 7 in Malaysia from Sabrina Tnay and Eileen Chua, until the age of 15 when she moved to Auckland with her family, and started piano lessons with Melody Deng. Emily is currently in her Honors year studying Bachelor of Music in the University of Auckland majoring in Classical Performance (piano), and during this time she studied from Rachel Fuller, and currently from Sarah Watkins.

Emily has achieved ATCL with Trinity Guildhall, and has participated in the Hibiscus Coast Music Festival Competition, in which she won First Place Winner in Class 6 in 2015 and 2018.

Emily enjoys teaching young musicians, watching them achieve in their goals, and also taking part in their growing process. She believes that music teaching is a rewarding job, and watching students learn and enjoy music is fulfilling. Emily is fluent in both English and Mandarin, and is able to communicate in both languages while teaching.
