Guitar; October Holiday Programme ‘22
CMA Guitar Department Coordinator Daniel Ortiz organised a programme during the October School Holidays offering students the opportunity to work on their performance skills and providing them with a new initiative where they learned the necessary skills to create and record their own music.
Masterclass - Duo Repertoire & Ensemble Skills
Our CLEF scholarship students were fortunate to have been joined by visiting cellist Matthew Barley (UK) and Stephen De Pledge - generously joining us in advance of their tour this month with Chamber Music New Zealand - for a masterclass on duo repertoire and ensemble skills.

Our piano department's June Masterclass Festival, with visiting pianist Joong Han (Jonathan) Jung was a great success.
Our Mid-Year '22 Concert was a blast!
Featuring both solo and group performances from across all of our different departments, we loved being able to show off a small taste of all the great work our students have been putting in this year - and to give so many of them the chance to hear each other and be inspired.
New Choir Programme
Chiron Group is excited to announce its new choir programme! Led by one of New Zealand’s finest music educators Elise Bradley, this new programme will provide an inspiring and hugely enjoyable opportunity for students who love to sing!
Summer School ‘22
And that's a wrap on this year's Chiron Summer School! We're incredibly grateful to all the students, parents and staff who joined us in making the week such a success and hope you'll enjoy this chance to look back at our final gala concert.
Looking Back Whilst We Look Forward
As we look forward to welcoming students to our 2022 Chiron Summer School, taking place from the 17-23 January in Auckland, we wanted to take the chance to look back and remember some of the wonderful performances and special moments that made up last year’s event.
Outstanding Results
Students from Chiron’s Piano departments, as well as several of our Chiron Charitable Trust Scholarship holders, took part recently in Auckland’s 67th Annual North Shore Piano Competition and came away with a truly outstanding number of prizes for their performances!
